St Philip's Flag Ben Lomond

The team at St Philip's School flagged Ben Lomond on the 20th May. They had a bit of mixed weather, but seems like they had a fab time!

Glas Tulaichean climbed by St Paul's Academy

The group at St Paul's Academy in Dundee climbed Glas Tulaichean on 7th June. The group was a small one, but apparently also many of them were camera shy. Thanks to the participant in blue for being brave and getting his photo taken at the top!

North Lanarkshire flag Ben Dorain

The DofE group from North Lanarkshire Council flagged Ben Dorain on 8th June with young people from all over North Lanarkshire, with young people doing their Bronze, Silver and Gold Award! The weather was great and the young people and staff had a great time!

Perth on Ben Chonzie

The pictures are of several groups who climbed Ben Chonzie on the 30 May 2014.  Perth Academy; Perth Academy ASN; Perth Open.  The leaders Were Stuart Barlow (Perth Academy) & May Ellis (Perth Academy).

Thanks to the Perth teams for participating!

Millburn flag again!

Millburn Academy DofE climbed a second Munro for the challenge. Here's how they got on:

Our second Gold DofE group (Jennifer Scott, Thomas Whillis, Holly Williams, Rebecca Murray) took part in the flag a munro challenge on Sunday 15th June. They summited Mullach clach a Bhair in Glen Feshie (Cairngorms) – mixed weather but enjoyed their first Munro experience.

The Viattes climb Meall nan Tarmachan

Our boy, aged 8, climbed his first Munro (Meall nan Tarmachan, 1044m) on Sunday 15 June. He was spurred on by the Flag a Munro challenge and, despite the pretty awful weather conditions (rain and thick fog), did very well and was very proud of his achievement. He was rather pleased with himself as people we met en route congratulated him (inc. a DofE gold medallist!).

Leading the way

Setting off

SNOW!

Still heading up despite the slippery footing

Ta Da!

And running all the way down!

Bettridge Open Award summit Lochnagar

Benn Hitchen and the team at Bettridge Open Award Group climbed Lochnagar for Flag a Munro. A bunch dropped out before the climb, but the smiles show the enthusiasm!
